Mr. Hyatt is a graduate of Florida State University and received a Masters of Science and Management Degree from Rollins College. He passed the CPA examination in May 1981 and began his career in public accounting with a large local firm in Orlando that same year. He received his CPA certificate from the State of Florida in November of 1982.
Mr. Hyatt is currently a tax partner with Baker,Hyatt,Homrich & Zokvic, P.A. He has broad experience in individual, corporate, partnership and fiduciary taxation. He has supervised and been involved with tax issues relating to a multitude of industries including retail sales, land developers, professional associations, insurance agencies and the employee benefit area. He has been experienced in representing individuals, corporations, partnerships, and profit sharing plans under audit from the Internal Revenue Service.
Mr. Hyatt also has a broad range of experience in state tax matters. He currently consults with a variety of industries regarding Sales and Use Tax. He has represented clients involved with sales tax field audits by the Florida Department of Revenue related to the hospitality industry, retail sales, printing and real estate leasing.
Mr. Hyatt is a member of both the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He has served and chaired various committees at both the state and local level of the Florida Institute of CPAs and is a past President of the Central Florida Chapter.
Mr. Hyatt has served in various volunteer positions and boards throughout the community including the Week Day School of First Presbyterian Church, the Parent Resource Center in downtown Orlando, the Church Street Counseling Center, Infant Childcare Center and the After School Outreach Ministry Council. He is a past member of the Orlando Breakfast Rotary Club.
